Good to know
Is TradeZ free?
Yes. TradeZ 1.0 is free to download and use, with no subscription and no account to create.
Does my data leave my computer?
No. Your trades, notes, screenshots and settings are saved only on your PC, in your own journal. There is no TradeZ server or cloud. The app only downloads market data such as prices, the economic calendar and exchange rates.
Which brokers and platforms work?
Live sync works with MetaTrader 5 and cTrader. You can also import MT4, MT5 and cTrader statements, or any CSV or Excel file, and you can always add trades by hand.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it safe?
Yes. Windows shows this for new apps that aren’t code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. You only see it once.
Can several people use it on one PC?
Yes. Each person gets their own password-protected journal, with an optional PIN and 2-step sign-in. Ctrl+L locks the screen.
How do I update?
TradeZ tells you when a new version is out, with what’s new and a Download button. Install it over the old one — your journal stays exactly as it is.
Is there a Mac or phone version?
Not yet. TradeZ 1.0 is for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
How do I move to a new PC?
Settings › Backup & Reset: make a backup, copy the file to the new PC and restore it there. Automatic daily backups to a folder of your choice are built in too.
